Hello world!

March 27, 2008

I’m here kids! Welcome to my humble land of fumbled words. Kick back and relax while I wax philosophical about the meaning of life. Thus far…life is a fantastic adventure. I’m out to accomplish every single one of my dreams. I’m exactly where I thought I would be…but it feels better than I ever could imagined. Each day is a gift and I have so much to be grateful for. I’m surrounded by an incredible family and the greatest friends in the world. Oh, and I’m also madly in love with my guy of 2.5 years. :)

 A few things to ponder:

1. An AT&T commercial featuring use of the word ‘dillweed.’ I laughed for about 3 days straight.

2. I made delicious lime infused shrimp tacos for my boyfriend last night- I think they are amazing but that’s probably because it only takes about 10 minutes to make them. I’ll post the recipe fo sho.

3. I’m sick and tired of celebrities ‘accidentally’ having nude photos show up on the internet. I mean, really?! Let me guess…you were young, naive, blah blah blah. For Christ’s sake, keep your clothes on! If I have to turn on The Today Show and see one more story about some High School Musical girl baring her business, I’m going to scream. NOT everyone does it, it is NOT a cool thing to do, and one day your GRANDKIDS will google your ass and what do you think they will see? Yeah…your ass. That’s right. Not cool.

4. My cousin is currently fighting for this great country in Iraq. He is brave and amazing. With each passing day I grow more and more proud of him. I’m not pleased about being at war, but I’m inspired by him, and the fact the he will soon be completing his second tour. I recently made a donation to the USO (United Services Organization), which assists in some pretty cool things for our troops. According to the website, “The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform.” Dope, right??? Check it out here: www.uso.org

5. Quote of the week: “There is no remedy for love but to love more” (Thoreau).

Keep love tied to your thoughts, deep in your heart, and obvious in your actions. This is week to celebrate those who bring love into your life.
