Over the past five years, we have all witnessed unbelievable weather that has ravaged our world. Tsunamis, Hurricane Katrina, typhoons, an EARTHQUAKE in Chicago, Lake Delton washing away, and now massive flooding all over the midwest.
What have we done to deserve this?
This tugs at my heart because my hometown (Antioch, IL) and my alma mater (University of Iowa, Iowa City) are both underwater right now. It is devastating and sad and scary.
But I cannot help but wonder…why??? Has global warming effected us in ways we never thought possible? Are all of these catastrophes a sign from God? It is part of some scientific explanation of which we have not discovered yet?
All we can do is pray for those who need prayers right now…
