Off to the burbs…to see grass and all that shizz

August 1, 2008

Tonight Fitz and I are headed to Schaumburg to visit the Gourley household, enjoy some beer, and flex our competitive muscles in a few games of bags.
Afterwards, Fitz is dropping me off at Borders at midnight, and then likely hiding out in some shady pub in a dark part of town, as to not associate himself with the Twilight series whatsoever.

Have a safe and fab weekend- I will be reading ALL weekend with a little golf and sleep thrown in.

Nerds unite,

A moment of auto fantasy

August 1, 2008

I am SO not a car person…at all.

But if resources were unlimited, you know what would be at the top of the list?

A Maserati Gran Turismo.

It’s August!

August 1, 2008

Can you even believe that the month of August has crept up on us??? Where the F did this year go? It doesn’t matter, because there is one thing on my mind: NCAA football.

Hawkeye football kicks off on Aug. 30th in Iowa City against Maine.

Can you feel the rush of adrenaline?

Also, since today is a day to celebrate the double entendre (I’m sure you’re wondering just how far I’m going to stretch this out), be sure to check out The August, a band originating from my hometown of Antioch, IL.

Vampire Weekend…literally

August 1, 2008

And so the countdown begins- 15 hours until the release of ‘Breaking Dawn’! Woohoo! I’m so excited that I practically tap danced down Wacker Drive this morning.

Additionally, check out Vampire Weekend, a sweet band that Fitz turned me onto. The songs are crazy catchy, and the band itself fits the theme of the weekend.
