I love when I have these random moments in which I’m unaware of the new, cool trends that kids are utilizing these days. I end up having to Google it, or just straight up ask and typically get housed in the response. Just another reminder that I’m getting older- bliss!!!
Anyway, I didn’t know what LMAO meant. Upon initial glance it’s looks like an acronym for ‘Leave Me Alone, Okay?’ but I didn’t understand why it would be used in a comical context (whereby I first came across this tricky little thing).
I now know that it means ‘Laughing My A$$ Off.’ Upon finding this out, well….I laughed my a$$ off.
Another thing that makes me all LMAO are these hilarious ‘dead zone’ commercials from Verizon. I love how they play up all the horror movie stereotypes all the while the protagonist just looks around, clueless and smiling, enjoying his/her day, with ‘the network’ in the background. The media (including this outlet here) has begun their quest to devour all details of said Veep candidate. MSNBC is my homepage and I caught this interesting article, dissecting every moment of Biden’s life, including his thoughts on Dunkin Donuts.
I have to admit, when I awoke this morning, I was stunned to see that apparently this announcement had been made overnight. That didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, but I learned that hours before the historic ‘text message announcement’ was to be sent, word leaked to the media and the Obama camp scrambled to get the word out as quick as possible…resulting in text messages being sent around 3am! YIKES.
